2-Year Old Preschool Class
Through the loving and patient guidance of our teachers, your child’s transition from home to school will be an enjoyable one. Through the combination of our Judaic and Secular monthly themes, your child will develop social skills, problem solving skills, a longer attention span and a sense of being part of a community. We offer an enriched curriculum of age appropriate arts & crafts, songs, music, and our rich Jewish Heritage, rounds out our 2’s program.
3-Year Old Preschool Class
Our nursery program concentrates both its Judaic and Secular studies in the morning. The afternoon incorporates a more relaxed curriculum of open-ended art projects, movement, additional storytelling and PE. Both curriculums are taught through our monthly themes. Within each theme, we introduce ABC, aleph-bet, pre-reading, pre-math, science, social studies, art, music and dramatic play. In addition the love oftorah, Mitzvot, Middot, Berachot, Teffilot, the Chagim, Rosh Chodesh and Shabbatare incorporated throughout the day. We work with the “whole child”, utilizing handson activities. Puzzles, cutting, coloring and age appropriate manipulative help theirchildren develop their fine motor skills. Movement, dancing and outdoor play, developtheir gross-motor skills. Social, emotional and problem solving skills are reinforceddaily.
4-Year Old Preschool Class
Our four year old class is divided in between Judaic and Secular studies. Ourcurriculum is taught through hands-on art activities, games, drama, songs, music,movement, and cooking activities. Aleph-Bet and ABC’s are incorporated into our dailylessons through sounds of the letters and simple vocabulary. In addition, Parsha,Tefillot, Berachot, Mitzvot, Middot, the Chagim, Rosh Chodesh, and Shabbat, areintegrated into our curriculum. Both our Secular and Judaic curriculum are taughtthrough our monthly themes utilizing the “whole child” approach to learning. Eachtheme includes pre reading, writing, math skills, science, social studies, music art,language arts, movement and drama. Pre-math includes recognizing numbers, matching,classifying, sequencing, counting, sorting, graphing and shape recognition. Rhyming,dictation of stories, storytelling and dramatic play, encourage the mastery of languageskills. Our social studies units teach us about the world we live in. Science themesinclude units on the four seasons, animal, plant, and insect live, healthy bodies, thefive senses, and hands-on science. We also continue to work to develop their social,emotional and problem solving skills.
